Colin O'Toole's directing career spans the worlds of advertising, music videos, and documentary projects. Commercial clients include Adidas, Reebok, Sony Playstation, Nissan and Alfa Romeo. In 2009 his commercial for the Home Office Anti-Knife Crime 'Pick It Up' won a D&AD award.
In long form, Colin has contributed to documentaries for Channel 4 and has co-directed a six part observational documentary 'Drivetime' for the BBC Channel 4, an alternative look at life on the road. In the music world Colin has directed numerous films for Polydor Records and in particular for cult music legend Ian Brown. Among his accolades for his films include nomination for 'Bloomberg Best Newcomer' at the prestigious Grierson Documentary Film Award and exhibits at the Victoria & Albert museum and Bilbao Guggenheim.
