Directing singing talent while directing traffic (or flying at cruising altitude) gives a whole new meaning to the phrase 'traffic jam'. Director Glenn F. Clements is one of the masterminds behind the recurring segment Carpool Karaoke on CBS' The Late Late Show with James Corden. Capturing the vocals of superstars like Lady Gaga, Kanye West, and Tom Hanks, Glenn makes the compact spaces feel cozy and sets up the environment needed to elicit a genuine performance from everyone. He collaborates with James Corden and the talent to keep things interesting, ensuring each "drive to work" is as fun as can be.
Inside the Deceptively Simple Spots for the DNC
With 48 hours, seven democratic candidates, and six dropkits, Glenn F. Clements directs two segments for the first virtual 2020 Democratic National Convention. The 5-minute segments feature names like Elizabeth Warren, Andrew Yang, and Cory Booker voicing their overwhelming support for the nomination of former VP Joe Biden for the November Election.
These spots along with the whole convention were produced by SS+K, the agency who has produced other notable campaigns for former President Barack Obama and major clients like Microsoft.
“In our experience, it’s never been done before, where you have most of the Democratic primary candidates together in a session like that,” - Rob Shepardson, Producer and Co-Founder of SS+K
